Trip to Boise
A few days after Halloween, I took the boys to Boise for a few days. I did this for a few reasons, one being so that Paul could spend a lot of time with his dad without feeling like he was away from us too much, and also to visit my parents. About every 5 months I get the itch to go visit Boise and I was itching.
My boys had so much fun. My dad, sister Shantay, and her boyfriend Sam took Jackson to a Boise State Basketball game the first night we were there. Jackson had fun although he played with cars the whole time and didn’t watch the game. Shantay and Sam took the boys to pet and ride horses on the farm that Sam is taking care of, and we also took Jackson to see the Bee movie, which of course was over his head, but he loved. In between all of that, my mom and dad just played and played with the boys. They took them to the store, took them to the park, my mom and jackson made rice bags to heat up, and a whole lot more! I had fun just hanging out. It sure is nice not to have to worry about cooking dinner, and doing laundry, and cleaning up the house all the time. That alone makes any trip worth it. I sure appreciate all that my parents did for us while we were there. They make wonderful grandparents, and my boys adore them. My boys also had a blast with Shantay and Sam. Families sure are the best!
