President Gordon B. Hinckley
I haven’t been able to post since I have been Idaho for my sister’s wedding, and my parents have dial-up. But I have to say that when Paul called me Sunday night to tell me about President Hinckley’s passing, I literally felt a blow to my heart. I started to cry and had to call Paul back. President Hinckley has meant much in my life. I enjoy his conference talks so much, and find his sense of humor so sweet! His words have always touched my heart, and seem to come right as I need them in my life. I have been able to attend General Conference a few times and always felt such a spirit when he came into the room! I know he was a prophet of God to lead the LDS Church. I will forever cherish his words, and the example he set. I still get teary-eyed when I think about the reunion he must have had with his beloved wife when he passed. I know he missed her so much. Their marriage and love is such an inspiration to me. He will truly be missed, however, I know that President Monson will be a wonderful prophet as he takes over leadership of our church.
