Easter, Egg Hunt, Boise Trip

These past five days the boys and I have been in Boise. I decided that maybe getting out of town would help with the severe spring fever that is in this house. So last Friday, myself, and the boys, headed to Boise. ( We left Paul because he had to work) My mom had registered the boys for her neighborhood Easter egg hunt. So Saturday morning, we took the Boise to their first ever Easter egg hunt. They had so much fun! Jackson ran around grabbing as many eggs as he could, (the limit was 12 per kid) and once Eli figured out how to open the eggs, he didn’t want to grab anymore. All he wanted to do was eat the candy. But 24 eggs between the both of them, is lots of candy for mom and grandma. Sunday morning, Easter, the Easter bunny came and Jackson was so excited because the Easter bunny had brought him a sound making light saber. Eli was happy because he got a Go Diego Go book. They each also got a few pieces of easter candy. We also talked about the true meaning of Easter and Jackson understood a little bit. He understood the Jesus came back to life, and so that meant so could his Grandpa. I figure that is good for a 3 1/2 year old. They did really well visiting a new ward. They actually went to their classes.

We had a good visit over the days with my mom and dad, and my sister and her new hubby! They weather was not the best but oh well. That is part of spring. We played games, went to parks, fed the ducks, and just had a good time. So thanks to mom and dad for having us, and to Shantay and Sam for hanging out! We had fun. We came back home yesterday, and we sure were happy to see Paul. Our family just isn’t complete when we aren’t all together.
